Yicheng Tang Occupational Therapist

Tang began his journey in health care through his studies in Occupational Therapy at Monash University, where he developed a strong interest in upper limb rehabilitation and helping people regain independence in their daily lives. He has gained experience across both hospital and community settings, working with a wide range of clients. He particularly enjoys working with older adults, supporting them with pain, mobility issues, and functional decline. Tang takes a practical and personalised approach, focusing on helping clients stay independent and engaged in their everyday activities. Alongside his professional training, Tang has been learning Traditional Chinese Medicine under the guidance of his mentor. Through this, he has developed an interest in hands-on treatment techniques and their role in supporting recovery. He currently incorporates upper limb massage and dry needling into his practice to help relieve pain, improve movement, and support function. Tang enjoys combining modern rehabilitation approaches with traditional techniques to provide well-rounded and effective care. He believes in working closely with each client to create treatment plans that are realistic, individualised, and meaningful. Outside of practice, Tang enjoys staying active through playing basketball and listening to music, and values maintaining a balanced lifestyle.
